Provides Case Specific Options for Resolution
April is a versatile attorney who provides her clients with a wide range of options for restructuring families and resolving disputes. She divides her practice between litigation and collaborative divorce. An experienced litigator, April is strong in the courtroom, but is also a trained in collaborative divorce practice and is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed family law mediator who can devise creative solutions and amicably settle the toughest of cases.
April’s litigation practice concentrates on complex divorce matters, including high asset property division (tracing assets, small or closely held business valuation and division) and contested custody (relocation, enforcement and modification of decrees entered in other states and internationally). In every case, she strives to protect the client’s interests and assets, while providing valuable counsel, leading them through litigation and managing expectations. She approaches all divorce cases with the goal of helping clients divide assets without unnecessarily dividing the family, particularly where the interests of children are concerned.
As an alternative to litigation, April’s collaborative divorce practice offers clients an out-of-court, private approach to divorce, where the spouses take control over the process. April believes collaborative divorce offers clients a unique opportunity to build a positive future for themselves and their children, complete with financial and emotional security. To this end, she provides her clients with the tools necessary to help them construct a solid foundation on which to navigate their new lives. For April’s clients, divorce can be a springboard to reinventing themselves.
